As per the Scriptures, Ganesh Chaturthi is a 10-day-long festival, and people must avoid Moon Sightings a day before starting the Ganesh Chaturthi. During the 10-day duration of Ganesh Chaturthi, there are a total of 16 rituals that will be performed, and these days are considered the most auspicious; people offer prayers by visiting the temples and offering laddoos to Lord Ganpati.
As per Hindu Mythology, Lord Ganesha was born in the Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month of the Hindu Calendar. This corresponds to the Gregorian Months of August and September. This year, Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on September 19, 2023, and the Ganesh Visarjan will be done on the 10th day on September 28, 2023. The Ganesh Chaturthi will be observed on Tuesday, and Ganesh Visarjan will be observed on Thursday.

The Shubh Muhurut or the Ganesh Chaturthi Tithi for the 10-day Festival of Vinayak Chaturdashi will start on September 18, 2023, at 12:39 PM on Monday. It will end on September 19, 2023, at 8:43 PM on Tuesday. In addition to the Tithi, the Madhyahna Ganesha Puja Shubh Muhurat will begin at 11.02 AM and will continue till 01.29 PM.
The Duration of the Ganesha Puja Shubh Muhurat will be around 2 Hours and 27 Minutes. The Ganesh Chaturthi Tithi Begins on September 18, 2023, at 12.39 PM, and the Ganesh Chaturthi Tithi Ends on September 19, 2023, at 01.43 PM. Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations
Ganesh Chaturthi is Celebrated with Joy and Happiness across different states of India. People have Different ways of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi and Worshipping Lord Ganpati. In the Beginning of the Ganesh Chaturthi, Ganesha Statues are placed on raised platforms in the homes or outdoor tents. Later on, Pranpratishtha is the first step of worshipping, which brings the idols to life. After this, Ganesh Upanishad and other multiple Vedic hymns are chanted by the devotees.
The Idols are being smeared with red sandalwood paste and different colors of flowers. In Addition to this, Coconut, Jaggery, and 21 Modaks are being Offered to the Idols. At the end of the Ganesh Chaturthi, the idols are taken to nearby rivers accompanied by devotional singing and dancing.
