Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana Registration 2023: The Punjab Government has launched the Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana. The Scheme was launched by the Chief Minister of Punjab to provide free cashless healthcare medical services to all the underprivileged residents of the state. To become the beneficiary of this Scheme, the eligible candidates must complete the registration process from the official portal. Under this Scheme, more than 15 lakh families are covered with free-of-cost treatment up to Rs 5 lakhs annually. Beneficiaries are advised to make their scheme cards to get all the benefits of the Sarbat Sehat Bima scheme. With the help of these medical cards, they can avail the facility of cashless treatment of Rs 5 lakhs by showing them in the hospital at the time of treatment. The Scheme was launched with the aim to improve the facilities in the hospitals for all the residents. The Punjab Government has spent Rs 453 crore rupees in the Scheme to provide health insurance coverage up to Rs 5 lakhs to each beneficiary in the family.

The beneficiaries can acquire these medical cards from authorized government service centers by paying a fee of Rs 30. To create Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana E-Cards, 8 mobile teams have been deployed to facilitate the program and generate e-cards for every beneficiary within the state. This program covers multiple departments, such as labor, civil supply, and taxation.

Objectives of Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana

The Punjab government launched the Sarbat Sehat Bina Scheme to uplift the underprivileged residents of the state. The Scheme focuses on offering eligible beneficiaries free medical services and treatment of up to Rs 5 lakhs. The State Government has made mobile teams producing the e-cards for the beneficiaries.

Under this Scheme, more than 15 lakh families are covered with hospital cashless treatment. More than 1,59,274 e-cards are being made and are still processed. With this Scheme, more than 768 hospitals are impaneled, whereas the health packages increased from 1394 to 1580. The Sarbat Sehat Scheme Bina Scheme also provides treatment for COVID-19 to the beneficiaries. In the Sarbat Sehat Bima Scheme, the residents are not required to register. There needs to be a registration process in the Scheme for the beneficiaries. The list of Beneficiaries will prepared by the concerned officials in the State Department based on the people living below the poverty line category, ration card users, and other categories.

The Eligible beneficiaries who do not find their name in the list can submit their application to the nearest health department office, or otherwise, they can register their concern on the official website of the department. As of now, there is no registration process which is required for the Scheme.

• Applicants need to come from low-income families
• A ration card is required for eligibility

Approved Hospitals for Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana 2023

Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana is one of the core health schemes in the state of Punjab in which the State government has invested more than Rs 500 Crores to approve approx 790 hospitals for the treatment of the beneficiaries. Under the approved hospitals, more than 6,000 heart operations, 4,000 joint replacements, and 1 lakh dialysis have been performed with professional and expert doctors and trained and educated nursing staff.
